During the past week, students and teachers from the central and satellite schools joined in the celebration of the European Week for Waste Reduction, where several activities were organized.
There were carried out activities on cleaning of school yards, students were educated on composting, recycling and waste selection procedures, leaflets were distributed in the surrounding area, and waste boxes, posters, flyers, presentations, messages and artwork were made.
All activities are aimed at raising awareness about sustainable waste management, active involvement in collection actions in and out of the school, as well as raising awareness of the consequences and benefits of (non) selecting. |
