Pink Shirt Day 2020

BULLYING ENDS HERE ... LIFT EACH OTHER UP ... #pinkshirtday

MPS "Cyril and Methodius" provides support in celebration of Pink Shirt Day, which symbolically aims to raise awareness among students of opposing all forms of violence and preventing peer violence in schools.

The day commemorates 2007, when David Shepherd and Travis Price witnessed violence aimed at a boy from their school, only because of the pink blouse he wore on February 26th. The following day, the two organized other students to wear pink, bought 50 pink T-shirts and distributed them in the school lobby. Their move has made history, and the mass of support for violence is increasing every year. This important day is celebrated on the last Wednesday of February.

Through a variety of activities, our pupils have also provided support in preventing peer violence.
